Wheat...West coast wheat bids showed both soft white and red springs
opening the week mostly steady, while hard red winter prices improved on
strength in KC futures. White wheat bids remain mostly sideways, having
held within a nickel on either side of $6 over the past two weeks. Club
wheat premiums continue to build; up a dime over the past week and now
at 185 over soft white.
Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed a modest decline in U.S.
wheat loadings from the prior week, coming in at 16.5 mb to place total
shipments-to-date at 438 mb and 21% ahead of a year ago. Top shipper for
the week was white wheat at 5.3 mb, followed by both hard red winter and
springs near the 3.5 mb mark. China was top destination off the PNW at
2.4 mb, followed by Thailand with 2.2 mb, the Philippines at 1.9 mb and
Yemen with 1.1 mb.
